Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a Design Engineer – Mechanical to join our Control Panel department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed mechanical design drawings for control panels, ensuring they meet technical specifications, and supporting the fabrication process. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a growing team in the industrial power and control panel sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabrication Drawing Preparation: Prepare accurate and detailed fabrication drawings for control panels, ensuring all designs adhere to the Single Line Diagram (SLD), Bill of Materials (BOM), and technical specifications.
  • General Arrangement (GA) Drawings: Develop and finalize GA drawings for control panels, taking into account space utilization, component arrangement, and safety standards.
  • Technical Specifications Compliance: Ensure all drawings and designs meet the required technical specifications and industry standards for control panel manufacturing.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with electrical engineers, production teams, and other departments to ensure the design meets functional and practical requirements.
  • Design Modifications: Implement design changes and revisions based on feedback from the production team, project requirements, or client specifications.
  • Documentation: Maintain organized and up-to-date records of design documents, drawings, and related files to ensure traceability and compliance.
  • Quality Control: Review and validate designs for accuracy, quality, and feasibility before submission to production, ensuring that all design aspects are considered and properly integrated.
  • Time Management: Deliver projects within agreed timelines, ensuring efficient handling of multiple tasks and adhering to project deadlines.

Qualifications:

  • Basic Qualification: Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or B.E
  • Experience: 2 to 3 years of experience in preparing fabrication drawings and GA drawings for control panel manufacturing.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in CAD software for creating detailed mechanical drawings (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of control panel designs, components, and fabrication processes.
  • Knowledge of SLD (Single Line Diagrams) and BOM (Bill of Materials).
  • Industry Knowledge: Prior experience in the industrial power/control panel manufacturing sector is highly preferred.
  • Skills: Attention to detail, strong problem-solving abilities, good communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Motivation: Self-motivated with the ability to manage tasks efficiently and contribute to the timely completion of projects.
