Job Overview:
Lubi Electronics is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Testing cum Quality Control (QC) Engineer to join our Division 4 – Control Panel team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for both the inward and outward quality control processes, as well as conducting thorough testing to ensure the highest standards of quality for electrical panels and components. This role requires a blend of technical expertise in testing and quality control, along with strong documentation and coordination skills.
Primary Responsibilities:
Inward QC (IQC):
- Inspect and verify incoming materials and components as per specifications to ensure they meet required quality standards.
- Ensure that the materials received are compliant with the purchase order (PO) and bill of materials (BOM).
- Conduct initial checks and tests on incoming items, confirming their suitability for production use.
Outward QC (OQC) and Testing:
- Perform detailed testing of the finished control panels and their components before dispatch to ensure functionality and compliance with established protocols.
- Conduct sample functional tests during both IQC and OQC, covering all necessary parameters after panel completion.
Carry out the following types of testing:
- Continuity Testing: Ensure that electrical connections within panels are continuous and free from faults.
- High Voltage (HV) Testing: Perform tests to confirm the panel’s ability to withstand high voltage and to ensure safety standards are met.
- Insulation Resistance (IR) Testing: Verify that insulation in electrical panels is adequate and meets the required resistance standards.
- Functional Testing: Assess the functionality of panels and individual components, ensuring they perform as intended.
QC Knowledge and Expertise:
- Enclosure QC: Ensure that all enclosures conform to design specifications and drawings, and meet the necessary quality requirements.
- Material QC: Evaluate materials based on specifications to verify compliance with PO and BOM. Ensure materials are of the highest quality and suitable for panel production.
- Sample Functional Tests: Perform sample functional tests on both incoming and outgoing products, ensuring compliance with the specifications and required standards.
- In-process QC: Conduct regular quality checks at different stages of the production process to ensure quality is maintained throughout the manufacturing cycle.
Documentation and Coordination:
- Inspection Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed records of all inspection activities, test results, and quality checks. Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal procedures.
- Test Certificates and Warranty Documentation: Manage inspection-related documents, such as Test Certificates (TC), Warranty Certificates, and Manuals, ensuring they are accurately maintained and easily accessible.
- Vendor Coordination: Communicate with vendors regarding material replacement, warranty claims, and any necessary quality adjustments.
- Production Collaboration: Work closely with the production team to address quality issues promptly, ensuring that quality control measures are followed throughout the manufacturing process.
Requirements:
Educational Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Experience:
- 2-3 years of experience in electrical panel testing and quality control.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in performing various electrical tests such as Continuity Testing, HV Testing, IR Testing, and Functional Testing.
- Strong knowledge of QC processes related to materials, enclosures, and components used in electrical panels.
- Familiarity with test protocols, standards, and industry best practices in electrical panel manufacturing and testing.

- Excellent documentation and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and vendors.
