Job Overview
Lubi Electronics is seeking a motivated and result-driven Business Development Manager (BDM) – Process Instrumentation. This role is responsible for building and scaling a new process automation and instrumentation distribution vertical in Gujarat by onboarding principals, developing pharma and chemical customer clusters, establishing a strong go-to-market strategy, and driving profitable revenue growth.
Education Required
- BE / BTech / Diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, Chemical, or Mechanical (preferred).
- MBA is an added advantage (not mandatory).

Key Responsibilities
1. Build the Vertical from Scratch
- Define product portfolio strategy for pharma and chemical process instrumentation needs.
- Create a 12–18 month GTM plan covering target segments, clusters, key accounts, and pipelines.
- Establish sales cadence, CRM discipline, forecasting accuracy, and funnel hygiene.
2. Brand Onboarding & Principal Management
- Identify and onboard principals across flow, pressure, level, temperature, analytical, and control instrumentation.
- Own end-to-end principal onboarding including negotiations, territory rights, margins, targets, and support.
- Maintain strong principal relationships through reviews, joint visits, trainings, and lead sharing.
3. Market Development & Key Accounts
- Drive application-led selling with QA, Engineering, Projects, Utilities, and Production teams.
- Build strong networks with EPCs, system integrators, skid manufacturers, and OEMs.
- Generate opportunities for greenfield, brownfield, retrofit, and compliance-driven projects.
4. Commercial & Execution Readiness
- Own techno-commercial proposals, negotiations, pricing strategy, and closures.
- Coordinate with internal teams for procurement, delivery, documentation, and after-sales support.
- Create standard playbooks including quote templates, discount rules, and competitor mapping.
5. Team & Process Building
- Support hiring and mentoring of inside sales, application engineers, and field sales teams.
- Conduct product trainings and develop quick-reference guides.
Required Experience & Profile
- 5–8 years in business development or sales in process instrumentation or industrial automation.
- Proven ability to build portfolios and territories from scratch.
- Strong understanding of pharma utilities and chemical process applications.
- Established network across Gujarat pharma and chemical clusters.
- Comfortable with travel and field-intensive role.
