Job Summary:
To develop the business for Test & Measurement instruments and cross-sell Automated Test Equipment (ATE) solutions to R&D labs, manufacturing industries, educational institutions, and system integrators. The role requires identifying customer needs, positioning technical solutions, and managing the sales process end-to-end.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development:
- Identify and acquire new customers for T&M products and ATE solutions.
- Handle lead generation, technical qualification, proposal creation, and order closure.
- Manage key accounts across verticals like automotive, EV, electronics, defence, pharma, and education.
- Prepare sales forecasts and meet monthly/quarterly targets.
Solution Selling:
- Understand customer testing applications and suggest appropriate T&M products.
- Work closely with internal application engineers to create integrated ATE offerings (including hardware, software, and automation).
- Conduct product demos, customer trials, and techno-commercial discussions.
Cross-Selling & Strategic Upselling:
- ATrack repeat customers and product clusters to identify opportunities for bundled offerings or ATE upsell.
- Introduce modular tester platforms for recurring applications (e.g., EV battery testing, PCB functional testing, etc.)
Channel & OEM Coordination:
- Liaise with international T&M OEMs (e.g.,Hioki, Yokagawa, Keysight, GW Instek, R&S) for pricing, stock, and technical support.
- Work closely with branded ATE suppliers like Chroma, NI etc and coordinate with inhouse technical team for customized ATE solution.
- Engage with channel partners and local system integrators for extended reach.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build long-term relationships with R&D heads, purchase managers, and production heads.
- Handle post-sales support coordination, including calibration, AMC, and spares.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Education:
- B.E./B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Mechatronics
- MBA in Marketing or Technology Management (preferred).
Experience:
- 6-8 years of relevant experience
- Selling T&M instruments (oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, dc source etc.)
- Working with OEMs, labs, or system integrators
- Experience in solution selling, proposal generation, and customer engagement
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of LabVIEW, NI testbench / Python-based testing setups is a plus
- Familiarity with industrial protocols, measurement techniques, and functional testers
- Ability to understand and explain technical product features to non-technical stakeholders
Soft Skills:
- Self-driven and target-oriented
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Strong presentation and customer relationship management
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams (engineering, supply chain, OEMs)
