Requirements

Our client, a pharmaceutical laboratory in Gujarat, required a custom mechanical stand for mounting a Cognex Vision Camera System to inspect laboratory parts. The system needed to deliver high image stability, allow flexible camera positioning, and occupy minimal bench space within a crowded lab environment. Additionally, the client sought a sturdy yet adjustable structure that could improve inspection precision, reduce human error, and enhance workflow efficiency during repetitive testing operations.

Challenges

The primary challenge was achieving precision alignment and focus flexibility within limited lab space. Traditional fixed stands restricted movement and made recalibration time-consuming. Variations in part geometry and inspection angles required an adaptable setup capable of fine-tuned camera adjustments. Furthermore, maintaining rigidity and stability during testing was essential to prevent vibrations and ensure consistent image accuracy.

Our Solution

Lubi Electronics designed and delivered a customized Lab Vision Stand engineered specifically for the client’s Cognex Vision System. The stand featured adjustable sliding axes for precise camera focusing and modular adaptability to accommodate different part sizes. Its sturdy, vibration-resistant frame ensured image stability, while the compact footprint optimized valuable lab bench space. The design also allowed quick repositioning for varied testing scenarios  streamlining setup times and improving overall workflow efficiency.
