Requirements

The customer required a fully automated system for battery insertion and removal to reduce manual operations. Safe handling of soft-pack lithium batteries, precise placement, and high repeatability were essential. Vision-guided alignment, customized gripping mechanisms, and seamless integration into existing production lines were critical to ensure productivity without damaging sensitive components.

Manual battery handling increased the risk of damage, inconsistency, and operator fatigue. Soft battery packs required delicate yet precise gripping. Ensuring accurate placement at high speeds without compromising safety was challenging. We delivered a customized robotic automation solution with vision-guided pick-and-place and specially designed grippers for safe battery handling.
